The Super Eagles Supporters Club (SESC) have expressed their heartfelt and congratulated the President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) led by Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau for winning first silverware.

This was contained in a statement released by the national body of the association to felicitate with the new NFF boss who recorded his first major achievement since coming into office on Friday September 30th 2022.

“It was the first time Nigeria made a podium finish at the competition, since making their debut at the maiden edition in 2008 hence the leadership of the SESC thought it wise to felicitate with the new leadership of NFF and using the medium to pledge good collaborations between NFF and SESC”, the statement noted.

The SESC also thanked Alh Gusau for committing his personal resources to motivate the girls while also commending other well meaning Nigerians that donated cash incentives to appreciate the hard won bronze medals.

“It will be recalled that Gusau who has been with the team from the time they made it to the quarterfinal pledged and fulfilled 3,000 USD for the win against Chile in their last group game, and another 3,000 USD for the win against the USA in the Quarterfinal. The monies were paid directly into the girls and their officials’ accounts.”
