About 100 golfers from across the country will on Tuesday converged on Ikeja Golf Club for a day golf round tagged “Survival Golf Tournament” expected to be action packed.
Survival Golf Tournament is an invitational amateur tournament according to Dr Remi Johnson, the President/CEO of Seventh Sport and organisers of the event, just as not more than 100 fields are invited to participate in the 2022 edition which will be fun-filled.
“Survival Golf Tournament was designed as invitational Amateur golf tournament annually; it is planned to host just 100 players this year at ikeja Golf Club; but I want to also assure that every participant will be happy being part of the event, thank you,” the President said.
Arrival for the tournament is today Monday March 21.

An insight into the main thrust of the tournament revealed it is aimed at appreciating mankind’s survival of the Covid-19 pandemic which no doubt, took many lives; global economy brought on its knees; social life disrupted and restricted – families, friends and well-wishers forced to stay apart.
Survival Golf Tournament tournament therefore implies the ideals of sports – friendship federation, love, peace and unity among mankind is restored having survived the pandemic.
Although, experts say the pandemic has come to stay with different mutations in recent times, it has also been checkmated with effective vaccines for life to move on with events as Survival Golf Tournament.
Dr Johnson however, believes sponsors of the event would have their businesses richly blessed through effective media coverage of the tournament; closing ceremony – presentation of prizes will come up later in the day.
