
Omoyele Sowore, the presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC) for the coming 2023 general elections has expressed optimism in the ability of the party’s gubernatorial candidate Mojeed Okedera in Oyo State to deliver the people from the misrule of the ruling PDP government.
Sowore, the publisher of Sahara Reporters expressed his confidence in the AAC gubernatorial candidate and former boxing champion in a statement issued by the AAC Spokesperson, Onyinye-Gandhi Chukwunyere where the presidential candidate spoken about all the candidates of the party in the south/west geo-political zone of the country emphasising on the ex-boxer as a trust worthy man that will deliver the Oyo people if given the chance.
“We shall traverse the length and breadth of our country, inspiring and uniting our people for the very important task of flushing out corrupt politicians and redeeming the country. We are very confident that with their support and partnership, the AAC shall build for the Nigerian people a nation of which they will be very proud,” the statement reads in part.
Meanwhile, Okedara popularly known as ‘Olugbeja Mekunu’ has also claimed to have firm belief that Oyo people will work together as a unit to take back the state through the ballot revolution in the 2023 general elections by voting him under the umbrella of the African Action Congress (AAC) as the Governor to change the abysmal leadership.
“I will create an atmosphere of political stability and security by rebuilding the declining confidence in the political leadership and apprehension about the system in the state and eradicating the general atmosphere of mistrust, fear, anxiety, and frenzy through creation of social tensions and new pattern of settlements which encourages religious, tribe and ethnic division,” Okedara noted.
