It’s all systems go for the 55th ANC national elective conference, which will see the party’s new president elected.
Accreditation issues threatened to mar the first day of the conference, which started eight hours late.
As of 4pm, many members were still queueing for accreditation, causing tensions to run high.
It is understood the delays over accreditations was due to load shedding and system failures on Thursday.
Over 4 000 voting delegates are expected at Nasrec, Johannesburg.
