Mzansi actress, Stephanie Ndlovu and her husband Hungani Ndlovu have confirmed the birth of their bundle of joy. In a new YouTube video, Stephanie takes it back to when she had her miscarriage and the journey afterward.

The Ndlovus shared their journey to parenthood on their YouTube channel, The Ndlovus Uncut. She first hinted at having given birth in an Instagram post where she is seen without a baby bump and called herself ‘mama.’

“Mama Getting back into the swing of things is wholeheartedly the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do but I am trying to exercise patience & kindness with myself, being present in every moment on this new journey.”

In the video, Stephanie was left in awe over God’s timing and how she felt when she was told she was pregnant.

“I feel like it was God’s timing when the gynecologist told me she thinks I’m pregnant, I then did two tests immediately and they came back positive and immediately we rushed to the gynecologist,” said Stephanie. “The journey of just going up and down and sideways was so taxing. What I love about the story is what it has done for us and to us because where we were before compared to now,” said Hungani.

Prior to announcing their pregnancy, they spoke about the miscarriage they suffered. Stephani spoke in detail about this experience and how she thought she would die.

“We had a miscarriage. This was a story we wanted to tell so many times, not for views or ratings or anything but because so many women and couples go through miscarriages and it can often feel very lonely because we don’t talk about it enough, it doesn’t matter what stage of pregnancy it may have been, the loss is still felt and deeply so. Our hearts are with all those who have experienced any loss of pregnancy. All our love”

Mrs. Ndlovu then shared that she found out when she was 8-weeks during her first visit to the doctor. “She did the scan and said ‘I’m sorry there’s no embryo.’ She diagnosed me and said it was a blighted ovum.”

“My coping mechanism to any trauma is to just switch off,” said Stephanie.

The miscarriage itself to Stephanie was not the most painful part, the cleaning procedure itself was, “Having done this procedure was more traumatic to me, than finding out about the miscarriage,” she explained.

Hungani also spoke about how traumatized he was because he had to watch his wife go through such a painful ordeal. “I just felt like I was useless.”

“To be honest I thought I was dying,” added Stephanie.

The lovely couple admitted that marriage does come with it’s challenges and they said they did think about divorce at some point, “Though we are celebrating our second anniversary, it hasn’t been without challenges. But because we choose each other every single day, even when we feel like giving up, we don’t give up – that’s our encouragement.” said the mommy-to-be.

“To each and every single one of you guys, no matter what relationship you’re in, whether it’s romantic or a friendship – if it’s really worth it, keep working at it and treat each other well. Be intentional about how you love the person you claim you love and be kind to one another.”
