In a recent episode, comedians Mpho Pops Modikoane, Tsitsi Chiumya, and Farieda Metsileng alleged that Mo books upcoming comedians for gigs but fails to pay them.
Comedian Oscar Omuhle, who works behind the scenes on the podcast, shared his own experience, accusing Mo of owing him money for two performances.
“Mo is the biggest scammer that has happened in the comedy industry. He owes me money from two shows,” Oscar claimed.
He detailed how Mo invited him to perform at his restaurant but only paid him R500, with an additional R500 from a patron, instead of the agreed R1,500.
On another occasion, Oscar was promised R3,000 for a gig at Carnival City but said he never received payment.
Following the podcast episode, Mo reportedly suffered a mild stroke and was later admitted to a mental health facility, according to a letter his lawyers sent to the PNC team.
Now out of the facility, he is prepared to take legal action if the podcast does not issue an apology.
However, a source close to the situation revealed that the PNC hosts are standing by their claims.
“Those guys have facts, and they know what they were talking about. He won’t get any apology from them,” the source stated.
When approached for comment, Mo reacted angrily, refusing to address the allegations.
Meanwhile, Bala Dama, CEO of Podcast & Chill Network, which owns PNC, denied knowledge of any legal correspondence, saying, “I have not seen such a letter.
