Woman supports Cwecwe’s education

South Africans have been shaken by the heartbreaking case of a seven-year-old girl, Cwecwe, who was allegedly assaulted at school.

The story has sparked widespread outrage, with many demanding accountability and justice for the young victim.

Among those moved by her plight is Buyisiwe Xwayi, who stepped forward with a generous R10,000 donation to support Cwecwe’s education.

She shared proof of the transaction on social media, explaining why the case resonated so deeply with her.

“I know this child’s pain; it’s so close to my heart. Cwecwe deserves a very comfortable education. I wouldn’t even mind if, as a community, we can help get the best school for her. I don’t usually share, but this one touched me. No amount of money can heal her mother, but let’s help where we can,” she wrote.

Her act of kindness has drawn widespread praise, with many commending her generosity and urging others to contribute.

The tragic case was brought to light when Cwecwe’s mother, Officer Thandekile Mtshizana, publicly shared her daughter’s ordeal.

The 30-year-old mother, who is also a survivor of sexual violence, revealed that the alleged assault happened on 14 October 2024 at Bergview College in Matatiele, Eastern Cape.

Instead of assisting with the investigation, the school allegedly expelled the child and issued her a transfer letter without her family’s request.
