Reason, whose alter ego is known as Sizwe Alakine, has addressed the wave of criticism he faced after sharing a heartfelt Father’s Day post that sparked unwanted speculation about his family.

The Amapiano artist came under fire after social media users accused him of fathering six children with three different women, including well-known media personality Lootlove.

What was meant to be a celebratory moment — a picture of the artist spending the day with his children — quickly turned into a source of online ridicule. Instead of being applauded for being a present father, Sizwe found himself the subject of judgment over the number of children pictured with him.

Unable to ignore the commentary, the Alakine’s World star took to X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday, 28 June 2025, to set the record straight. In an emotional and direct post, he clarified that he is a father to five children — not six — and explained the identity of the additional child seen in the viral image.

“Here’s the sad part. I have 5 kids. I posted 6 kids on my Father’s Day post because my daughter’s best friend was with us for Father’s Day,” he wrote. “How do you F*****S think that little kid feels watching you clown me being there for her when her actual father couldn’t?? Like????”

Though he didn’t confirm how many mothers his children have, Reason made it clear that being present in his children’s lives — and in the lives of those who need support — is something he refuses to be shamed for.
