The Senzo Meyiwa murder trial has taken yet another unsettling turn, leaving the country shaken and frustrated.
On Tuesday, 2 December 2025, chaos erupted online after reports emerged that several men had been removed from the courtroom under alarming circumstances.
According to SABC journalist Chriselda Zozi Lewis, three individuals were escorted out and questioned over allegations that they were plotting to murder key figures involved in the high-profile trial.
The police later confirmed that they had officially registered a case of conspiracy to commit murder linked to the incident.
Lewis shared the update, saying police were aware of a “group of individuals” attending the court proceedings “with the purpose of looking for an opportunity to eliminate key role players in the trial.”
The revelation triggered a wave of outrage across South Africa, with many expressing fears that justice for the late soccer star may never be served.
Among those reacting was radio host Sizwe Dhlomo, who quoted the post and simply wrote, “SMH! This case!”, adding a clapping emoji to emphasize his disbelief and frustration.
