South African music star Makhadzi is steadily recovering at home following an accident that occurred at the end of 2025. The award-winning performer and her team have reassured fans that her health is improving, although she remains unavailable for bookings as she focuses on her recovery.
The update was officially confirmed by Makhadzi Entertainment in a press release shared on the artist’s verified Facebook account on Friday, 17 January 2026. The statement provided clarity on her current health status, medical progress, and legal developments surrounding the incident.
According to the statement, Makhadzi recently travelled to Polokwane for a medical check-up on Friday, 16 January 2026. Doctors were reportedly pleased with her recovery process, a positive sign for the singer who has been recuperating at home since the accident occurred on 31 December 2025.
The press release also confirmed that a case was opened in Mokopane on the day of the incident. Despite her condition, Makhadzi was able to give her official statement this week, marking an important step in the matter.
While fans are eager to see the “Ghanama” hitmaker back on stage, her management has made it clear that her health and well-being remain the top priority. As a result, she will not be accepting bookings until she has fully recovered.
