South African artists Clxrity and Majorsteez have reached a significant achievement with their collaborative single “The Wedding Song,” which has officially been certified Gold by industry standards. The milestone marks one of the most notable commercial achievements for both artists since the track’s release, reflecting sustained listener engagement and strong streaming performance.

The Wedding Song was released on 20 September 2024 by Clxrity and appears on Clxrity’s It’s Clear to See EP. The song features the hip‑hop and R&B duo Majorsteez in a romantic and melodic production that blends contemporary R&B with soulful harmonies.

Following its release, The Wedding Song saw steady growth across streaming platforms, eventually surpassing 2 million streams, a key milestone that highlighted its wide appeal among listeners and its frequent use in personal and celebratory occasions, particularly weddings.

In recognition of this performance and the recording’s popularity, the single has achieved Gold status, an official certification that denotes significant commercial success in South Africa. The Recording Industry of South Africa (RiSA) oversees certification awards, with a Gold certification for singles indicating that the track achieved the required number of combined sales and streams under current industry criteria.

Clxrity and Majorsteez took to social media to share their appreciation for the milestone. Majorsteez posted a statement that read: “The Wedding Song is GOLD📀🔥! All Glory To God🙏🏾✝️ @clxritymusic thank you brother and congratulations 🫂”, expressing gratitude to Clxrity and recognising the collaborative effort that brought the song to this point.

The song’s lyrics, production, and thematic focus have continued to draw listeners, contributing to its integration into personal moments and public platforms alike.

Ahead of its Gold certification, The Wedding Song also inspired a visual release when Majorsteez dropped an official visualiser in early 2025. The imagery of the visualiser incorporated scenes reflecting aspects of South African wedding traditions, contributing further to the narrative of unity and love that the song conveys.

With its official Gold recognition, The Wedding Song stands as a definitive career highlight for Clxrity & Majorsteez and continues to be a meaningful piece of music for listeners across South Africa and beyond.
