YFM is stepping into 2026 with intention, edge and a clear focus on the pulse of youth culture—and at the heart of this refreshed vision is the arrival of DJ Sliqe and Roiii who are set to redefine Sunday nights.

Taking over the 7PM–10PM slot with The Agenda, the duo signals a bold new chapter for hip hop on the station. Both deeply rooted in the culture, DJ Sliqe and Roiii bring an authentic connection to the streets, promising a show that goes beyond music to reflect the stories, energy, and evolution of South African hip hop right now. Their addition points to a renewed commitment from YFM to spotlight voices shaping the sound of the moment.

This move forms part of a wider shake-up across the station’s 2026 line-up—one that leans into fresh talent while honoring the legacy of those who’ve helped build the brand. The changes reflect a station that isn’t just keeping up with culture, but actively driving it forward.

Daytime radio also sees a notable shift, with Karen Mthethwa stepping into mid-mornings to lead The Glow Up, marking a new era for the slot. Meanwhile, nights are set to heat up as Barbara “Baxbara” Moagi joins Tulz Madala on Uncensored, bringing a fearless and unfiltered dynamic to late-night conversations.

Weekends, too, are getting a revamp. Munaka steps in to host The Rizz, bridging the gap between emerging trends and mainstream culture, while internationally recognized DJ Shimza returns to his roots with Karma Karma Radio—a full-circle moment that reflects YFM’s legacy of nurturing talent from the ground up.

At the same time, core shows like The Way Up with Nia Brown and Okay Wasabi, alongside Home Run with Ayanda MVP and Sinaye Kotobe, remain central to the station’s identity—continuing to deliver the energy, conversation, and music that keep listeners locked in daily.

Beyond traditional broadcasting, YFM is expanding its digital footprint with new content offerings designed to meet audiences where they are. With additions like Money Talks hosted by Lerai and It’s an Uncool Show with Uncool MC, the station is doubling down on its “Beyond FM” strategy—creating a 360-degree content experience that spans music, lifestyle, and real-world conversations affecting young people.

Club Y, one of the station’s most influential properties, also returns stronger than ever, with an expanded DJ roster and plans to once again take over both the airwaves and the streets.

“This line-up is a true reflection of where we are as a brand and where youth culture is going. We’re constantly evolving, constantly creating, and always looking for new ways to connect with our audience. 2026 is about being louder, bolder, and more fearless than ever before. And Y NOT?” stated Y’s Programme Manager Phindile Ziqubu.

With DJ Sliqe and Roiii leading the charge on Sundays, YFM’s latest line-up doesn’t just introduce new voices—it reinforces the station’s role as a cultural tastemaker. This is more than a refresh. It’s a statement of intent.

YFM’s 2026 line-up officially goes live on April 1.
