Dahoodhope is hard at work, like all Qwellers members, dropping projects back to back, performing, doing features. That individual focus is what led people to speculate that the 10-man collective has broken up at some point.
“Everything is focusing on themselves and that has always been part of the vision. We wanted to create a platform for every individual to shine and do their thing,” he says. “Qwellers will always be a thing, njalo njalo, koze kubuye uJesu.”
Elsewhere in the interview, the artist breaks down his Imvelophu series, what drives him and what to expect from him in the near future. “I’m a pioneer, I wanna be remembered as a person who fought, a person who believed himself and trusted in the process.”
