Masasa Mbangeni and Danica Delarey Jones are stepping onto the international stage after landing roles in the Apple TV+ action thriller Sniper: No Nation.
Both stars rose to prominence on e.tv’s hit drama Scandal!, where their performances earned them loyal audiences.
Now, they join a global cast in a high-stakes story that follows elite sniper Brandon Beckett, who is disavowed by his government and forced into a dangerous mission alongside his father, veteran sniper Thomas Beckett.
The announcement comes not long after the shocking cancellation of Scandal! after 20 years on air, making their latest move feel like a new chapter for actors shaped by one of South Africa’s most influential shows.
Mbangeni, celebrated for her commanding roles in The River and Mzali Wam, left a lasting impression as Thembeka Shezi, while Jones, who later appeared as Simone, has steadily built her career into new spaces.
They are joined by fellow South African Brandon Auret, further highlighting the country’s growing presence in international productions.
Their casting adds to a rising trend of South African talent breaking into global projects, with fans already celebrating the representation.
