The host of The Tswyza Show, Tswyza, has clarified the core purpose of his platform, addressing ongoing misconceptions about its direction and content. His remarks come amid increasing public discussion surrounding the show, particularly commentary that has focused on unrelated narratives.

Tswyza explained that the show is not designed to highlight his personal abilities as a performer. He stated, “Let me reiterate what this The Tswyza Show is about. It’s not about how I’ve got lyrical prowess or competitive I can be on the mic.” He emphasized that the platform moves away from self-promotion and instead centers on broader engagement within the music space.

According to Tswyza, the primary aim of the show is to provide audiences with a deeper understanding of artists beyond what is typically portrayed in mainstream and social media. He noted, “It’s really about getting to know artists. You know artists through tabloids, you know them through rumors and all sorts of social media content and so forth.” Through this approach, the show seeks to present perspectives that are often overlooked in conventional coverage.

A significant component of the platform is its focus on discovering and supporting new talent. Tswyza highlighted the importance of creating opportunities for individuals who may not have access to traditional industry channels. He said, “But it’s also about unearthing new talent. Let’s do what the government can’t do and unearth new talent and give an opportunity to people that are under resourced.” This objective reflects an effort to bridge gaps within the creative industry.

He further addressed the challenges faced by emerging artists, particularly those who lack visibility. “There’s a lot of talented people that are out there, but they don’t get the time and day because they’re not popular,” he explained. Tswyza also pointed out that established figures in the industry do not always extend opportunities to others, stating, “You find celebrities that are meant to open doors, but they don’t because they’ve found their feet.”

In distancing the show from controversial or sensational topics, Tswyza made his stance clear. “All this negative commentary about who murdered who, I’m not interested about that and that’s not what this is about,” he said. This statement reinforces the platform’s intention to avoid narratives that do not align with its purpose.

Instead, the focus remains on long-term cultural development. Tswyza described the show as “really about preserving, nurturing, and growing the culture, developing under resourced talent.” In addition to the show itself, he has initiated a broader platform aimed at providing practical resources for artists.

“I’ve taken it upon myself to even start a platform where people can share music and get advice, talk to a booking agent, talk to publishers, talk to a marketer,” he explained. This initiative is intended to connect artists with industry professionals and essential knowledge.

Tswyza also underscored the importance of collective responsibility within the creative community. “But let us bear the responsibility of sharing opportunities without judgment,” he said. He encouraged a supportive environment where individuals can collaborate and grow.

Highlighting the expressive nature of music, he added, “Let’s have fun with this music thing because it’s supposed to be a beautiful, expressive exercise.” He further noted that not appearing on the show should not be viewed as a limitation. “And if you can’t make it on the Tswyza show, it doesn’t mean you whack. It means you just need to resharpen your artillery.”

Concluding his remarks, Tswyza called for continued encouragement among artists. “But let’s keep going, guys. Let’s not forget to be human. Let’s advise each other. Let’s put each other on.”
