Everything You Need To Know Ahead of ULTRA South Africa 2026

The countdown is officially on for one of the biggest weekends on the local music calendar, as ULTRA South Africa returns in 2026 with two back-to-back shows set to light up Johannesburg and Cape Town.

Whether you are a seasoned Ultranut or a first-time raver, being prepared is key. Here is everything you need to know ahead of this year’s ULTRA South Africa festival:

Two Cities, One Massive Long Weekend

The 11th edition of the iconic festival will take place in Johannesburg at the Expo Centre Nasrec on Saturday, 25 April 2026 and in Cape Town at The Ostrich on Sunday, 26 April 2026. Doors open at 14:00 and the festival runs until 02:00 the following morning, with the Monday public holiday giving Ultranauts the perfect chance to recover.

World-Class Line-up & Multiple Stages

This year’s festival features a stellar international and local line-up, including global heavyweights John Summit, DJ Snake, Axwell, and a special Afrojack b2b R3habset. The festival will feature multiple stages, each offering a unique experience. The Main Stage will host the many of the international headliners, while the RESISTANCE Stage will deliver a world-class roster of underground headliners, including New York legend Dennis Ferrer, South African powerhouse Shimza, CAIIRO B3B DA CAPO B3B ENOO NAPA, Major League, Kitty Amor & more.

In Johannesburg, the festival expands to four stages. Alongside the Main Stage and RESISTANCE, The Groove Room returns to celebrate the continent’s most influential sounds with a stacked African electronic dance music line-up featuring Liquideep, Scorpion Kings, DBN Gogo, Zee Nxumalo, Oscar Mbo, Que DJ x DJ Lag, Sun-El Musician, 2shoes, Lelowhatsgood, and Slow Poison. The UMF Radio x Confessions Stage will host boundary-pushing sounds with Dean Fuel, CINIMIN, Chunda Munki, Vimo, Connie, Aidin Caye, Mia, Skelm, Jevan Binder, and Threemanweave. Limited Tickets Still Available

Ticket’s for the 11th edition of the festival are flying, but there are limited tickets still available for purchase. General Access is available from R1,095, VIP from R2,000 and a special VVIP ticket option for festivalgoers in Johannesburg from R5,500. Tickets are on sale now at https://ultrasouthafrica.com/.

Travel Smart: Park & Ride In Johannesburg and Cape Town

For festivalgoers, the official Park & Ride service offers a convenient and stress-free way to get to and from the event. Your Park & Ride ticket includes return coach transport and free undercover parking at designated departure points across Johannesburg, Pretoria and Cape Town. Buses will depart at 14:00 and 16:00, with return trips scheduled for 22:00, 24:00 and 02:00, ensuring a smooth, safe and efficient journey.
