Likweti Bushveld Farm Estate on the outskirts of Mbombela is launching its fourth phase, with the development set to attract local and international buyers.

The lifestyle estate is located between White River and Mbombela and is within close proximity to the Kruger International Airport.

Demand for low-density and lifestyle-driven estates has been growing in South Africa, with buyers prioritising space, privacy and access to natural surroundings.

Since its first development in 2014, Likweti has become one of the nation’s most popular wildlife residential estates.

The estate is known for its generous stand sizes, expansive open space, and free-roaming plains game.

Chas Everitt International Property Group said it continues to attract both local and international buyers seeking a secure lifestyle with convenient regional access.

Amid strong demand for lifestyle estates, Likweti Bushveld Farm Estate has announced the launch of its fourth phase, Likweti Cliffs.

The first two phases of development sold out quickly, and the third phase is almost fully sold out, underscoring the area’s demand.

“We’ve seen a clear shift towards buyers prioritising space and privacy, particularly within established estates that offer something beyond conventional residential formats,” said Ramona Grimbeek from Chas Everitt.

“This demand is especially evident in regions like the Lowveld, where developments such as Likweti, with generous stand sizes and an established track record, continue to attract both local and international interest.”

Phase 4 introduces 22 stands, each measuring 1 hectare, and select stands exceeding 2 hectares.

The stands are mainly found on the western edge of the estate, offering elevated views across the Lowveld.

The estate’s landscape is characterised by natural boulders, mature indigenous trees, and varied topography.

Chas Everitt said that the considered stand layouts and the placement of building zones allow for generous separation between properties while maximising views and maintaining privacy.

The real estate agent service added that Likweti offers buyers the opportunity to invest in a development with a proven track record, given the three prior phases.

The consistency of low-density planning and larger stand sizes has contributed to long-term appeal, particularly among buyers seeking secure estates with more space than typical residential layouts.

Residents have access to trail-running, walking, and mountain-biking routes, while plains game and birdlife are part of the everyday setting.

The estate also boasts a working macadamia orchard, which adds a unique income-generating element.

For families, the estate also offers 24/7 monitored gated entrance security and close proximity to private schools. The estate is also located near shopping centres and medical facilities.

For lovers of golf, the estate is 18 km away from the White River Country Club and 29 km from the Mbombela Country Club. The Phabeni Gate for the Kruger National Park in Hazyview is 72 km away.

Chas Everitt said that as residential estates in the country shift to higher-density models, developments that retain a focus on space, privacy, and a natural setting are increasingly limited.

It added that the launch of Phase 4 aligns with the growing demand for residential environments that prioritise space, lifestyle, and long-term value.
