South African rapper AKA is on an all-time high in all aspects of his life, including his love life.
The father-of-one, who is in a relationship with fellow rapper Nadia Nakai, told Drum that they are “just enjoying each other”.
With one of the hottest songs in the country at the moment, his summer jam titled Lemons (Lemonade) in which he features Nasty C, AKA revealed his plans for the festive season.
“I plan to take on festivals and concerts and just keep people entertained this festive season.
“Lemons (Lemonade) is arguably one of the most popular songs. Things are going well, it’s gaining momentum and I’m excited,” the rapper said.
He also went on to express that his life is bright and colourful at the moment, describing it as “spring or summer”.
“I’m feeling a brand-new breath of fresh air in the game, in hip-hop, music, and just my life in general.”
When it comes to love, AKA said that “it is in the air”.
The rapper and the Young Famous and African star hitmaker are almost a year into their relationship.
“I am in a fantastic place. Love is in the air. Nadia and I have been together for about a year and just enjoying each other.
Rumours of their relationship started in November last year and in February, they finally made it Instagram official.
“Music always unites us. Both of us being both artists complement our relationship.”
Although their relationship is going smoothly now, AKA and Nadia were embroiled in a gender-based violence (GBV) scandal in April this year.
Following claims that they had an altercation at a club in Ghana, Daily Sun then reported that AKA assaulted the Naaa Mean hitmaker but the pair denied these allegations. AKA and Nadia have announced that they are suing the publication for R800 000.
The couple has not said anything further about the lawsuit, but they are still packing on the public displays of affection (PDA) and they just don’t care.
