Gospel singer Buhle Nhlangulela

Gospel singer Buhle Nhlangulela calls out award-winning singer Betusile Mcinga for exploiting her.

According to Zimoja, Betusile threatened to take Buhle to court over the song, Ngena Noah.

The gospel singer said she didn’t get well paid by Mcinga despite her contribution to the aforementioned song.

“I’ve been quiet for far too long. I am speaking out now because I am threatened with lawyers and lawsuits,” she says.

“I wrote and arranged that song… People don’t know what we go through as artists. We don’t talk about it and when we do talk, people say that we want fame. People think that those who are more famous than us are always right. They are not and it has to stop, “she adds.

Buhle disclosed that Betusile paid her R500 for a studio session.

She spoke more of all she’s suffered as a vocalist.

“This is not the first time I have been exploited. I have kids and a family to look after. Betusile is making money with that song, and I am here penniless.”

“Recently there is a big gospel artist who passed away. I helped her get gigs and I wrote songs and backed for her. I chose not to attend her funeral because she passed away when we were not on speaking terms,” Buhle says.

However, Betusile slammed Buhle’s claims, saying she got paid.

“Buhle didn’t rewrite or arrange the song. She was a backing vocalist with two other backers, Futhi and Muzi and they were all paid to do a backing session of that song by Top Class Productions.”
