This week’s episodes of The Wife opened with a sex tape scandal, much to Ntsika’s delight.
Naledi and Qhawe couldn’t keep their hands off each other on the private jet on the way to their vacation, and they didn’t notice the onboard security camera that captured it all.
While Hlomu spear-headed the family’s efforts to get ahead of the sex tape scandal, Qhawe did his best to make sure Naledi doesn’t find out about the scandal during their trip.
His efforts were short-lived, however, as Naledi found out she was trending early on in their trip.
She ended up blaming Qhawe for the leak, leading to yet another fight between the couple, who had just made up.
The scenes of the sex tape scandal were punctuated by the diamond scam storyline that saw Sambulo, Mqhele and Mqoqi become greedier with each person they successfully swindled.
They planned scam after scam not knowing that police were hot on their heels.
It has also become a weekly occurrence for Naledi to be forcefully taken home by her father, and it happened again this week.

Most of episode 17 (the second episode of the week) was a slow burn that showed as Naledi tried to dig her heels in about staying in Joburg, not just for her relationship, but for her job too.
Naledi and Qhawe fought yet again when Qhawe accused Naledi’s sister of being the one who played the camera, filmed and leaked the sex tape.
The discord in her life as a result of the sex tape scandal is what got Naledi to go home, much to the annoyance of her sister and her sister’s husband.
The episode ended in an apparent break-up between Naledi and Qhawe, while his brothers faced the consequences of a heist gone wrong.
One brother has been left in the lurch as the others made their escape, so next week’s episodes of The Wife are set to be action-packed as police close in on the Zulu brothers.
