Core Afrique Boxing Promotion (COABOX) in collaboration with Moondream Promotion have concluded plans to stage a boxing show tagged: ‘Scorpion Stings Again’, scheduled for February 27, at indoor hall of Obafemi Awolowo Stadium, Oke-ado Ibadan.
The boxing show that is backed by the Nigeria Boxing Board of Control (NBBofC) according to Hon Bako Arowolo, the Vice Chairman of Oyo State Chapter of the body will see the WBF super featherweight champion, Ridwan ‘Scorpion’ Oyekola facing Charlemagne Anicet from Benin Republic in lightweight international challenge bout.
National champion, Habeeb Oladeji popularly known as Ige will also trade punches with Dhikrulai Akintayo ‘The killer’ in a National Bantam weight Challenge, while Abdulrasheed Idowu, also known as ID Bbuster will lock horn with Ibrahim Owoiya in National light heavyweight Challenge.
Kazeem Lawal will also face Adeniyi Segun in a National middleweight boxing Challenge, while Jamiu Akande Sunshine will tackle Mutiu Lawal Tato in another National lightweight boxing Challenge, as Blessing Godwin the Star Girl will battle Akinsanya Rophiat Abosede in National female welterweight Challenge.
Hon Arowolo while speaking with newsmen in Ibadan has assured the teeming boxing lovers in Oyo State of adequate security and exciting boxing show that will leave a lasting memory in the minds of the boxing fans.
