Black Panther star Michael B. Jordan has officially received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. On March 1, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce presented actor and filmmaker Jordan the 2,751st star. Attendees of the ceremony included Jordan’s Creed III co-star Jonathan Majors and Ryan Coogler, who directed the actor in Fruitvale Station, Creed, Black Panther and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

To think that this star didn’t grow up with dreams of being an actor! Luckily for us, he changed his mind, and now he will be honored with an iconic star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame,” Hollywood Walk of Fame producer Ana Martinez said.

Jordan began working as a child model for companies like Modell’s sporting goods and Toys “R” Us before appearing on Cosby and The Sopranos. The actor received his first film role alongside Keanu Reeves in 2001’s Hardball. In 2003, Jordan replaced Chadwick Boseman as Reggie Montgomery in the long-running soap opera All My Children before they became co-stars in 2018’s Black Panther. In the MCU film, Jordan plays the villain Erik Killmonger, a role he briefly reprises in the sequel, Wakanda Forever.

Aside from Black Panther, Jordan starred as Adonis “Donnie” Creed, Apollo Creed’s son, in 2015’s Creed. The film is a spinoff of the Rocky franchise and features Sylvester Stallone as the titluar boxer who reluctantly becomes Donnie’s trainer. In Creed II, Dolph Lundgren reprises his role as Ivan Drago, the killer of Apollo Creed, during a boxing match in Rocky IV. This time, Drago trains his son Viktor to face Donnie in Moscow. Other than boxing, Donnie and Bianca welcome their daughter Amara and Rocky reunites with his estranged son Robert Jr.
