Mihlali Ndamase will lose her Ranger Rover to the ex-wife of her partner, Leeroy Sidambe.
Sunday World reports that the Gauteng businessman bought the car for his former wife during their anniversary, but took the car and gave his new lover after separating from his erstwhile lover.
“The respondent is to return the Range Rover Autobiography (2020 Model) to the applicant within two days from date of this order,” reads the order.
The well-known tycoon was also ordered to pay for the costs of maintenance and repairs of the vehicle and of her other posh car – a Range Rover Sport.
He was also ordered to pay the balloon payment of the Range Rover Sport to the BMW financial services within 30 days from the date of the order.
The entrepreneur was also ordered to pay R156 000 a month towards the maintenance of his wife and children on the first day of every month.
The order also stipulates that he should also pay an undisclosed amount for his wife’s and children’s medical aid.
The businessman also has to pay rates and services, water and electricity in the rented property occupied by his wife and children. The order also forced him to pay a deposit of the rented property where his wife and children stay and pay over R1.7-million for the legal costs she incurred during the litigation.
“The respondent shall pay to the applicant a contribution towards her legal costs in the sum of R1 716 083 within 14 days from date of this order, payable into the trust account of the applicant’s attorney,” reads the order.
In the court papers we have seen, the woman said her husband had ignored her repeated requests to return the vehicle, which she wants to use as transport to work and ferry her children to school.
The woman said the businessman bought her the car on November 25 2020 as a gift for their wedding anniversary. She said she decided to give her older car, a Range Rover Sport 5.5 Dynamic, which is in her name, to his father to run his errands with.
“As stated elsewhere in this affidavit, the Range Rover Autobiography that was given to me as a gift was snatched away from me by (name withheld) and given to his girlfriend to use. He actually vindictively took my car away from me and gave it to Ndamase to use, and I do not have a vehicle to use,” read the papers.
