Thokozani “L’vovo Derrango” Ndlovu speaks on how life has been different for him since he suffered a stroke in 2022. Shortly after Mampintsha died due to a stroke, the singer was also announced to have been hospitalised due to the same illness. He’s been discharged from the hospital and lives with family. Speaking with ZiMoja, Derrango says it’s been hard.

“It has been very tough for me. I have not been able to walk, my leg was affected by the stroke and my hand was affected,” he says. “My friends have been very supportive and driving me around, taking me for my check -ups. This weekend, they hosted a braai at my home, and it was a thanksgiving,” he adds. Lvovo had to leave his place for his family house as he can’t stay alone at his apartment.

L’vovo

“I have been going through a lot. I couldn’t stay alone at my place. I needed to be home to get assistance, I was immobile. It’s been a rough few months for me. My leg could not work. I wasn’t able to do many of the things that I was used to. The stroke also affected my movement, I could not perform and make money.”

However he is working on new music, which he might release this year. Music has been my saving grace. I almost died. I don’t know how I survived.

L’vovo

“I will always be thankful to God and my ancestors for keeping me alive. I thank everyone who supported me- friends, family and everyone. I am currently back in the studio working on my EP. I will be releasing this year.
