Senegalese Musicians Top Africa Richest List, Nigeria In 4th

Youssou N’Dour of Senegal was recently revealed to be the richest African musician at the end of 2021 with a net worth of around 145 million U.S. dollars, reports Statista.

The Senegalese musician is also said to be among Africa’s most famous singers.

Apart from his successful career in the music industry as a songwriter, composer and singer, he has also actively participated in his country’s politics as a Minister of Tourism between 2012 and 2013.

In the ranking of the richest African musicians released in December 2021, he is followed by Akon, the American-Senegalese celebrity with a net worth of roughly 80 million U.S. dollars.

The South African DJ Black Coffee ranks third in Africa. His net worth amounts to 60 million U.S. dollars.

In the fourth position is Nigerian Don Jazzy, with a net worth of 30 million US dollars.
