It was an up-and-down United Rugby Championship season for the Lions; they played some sparkling rugby at the start and at the back end, but lost five in a row in the middle of their campaign.
In the end, after 18 matches, the Lions finished in ninth spot on the points table, just missing out on the quarter-finals.
