A fortunate Standard Bank customer has hit the jackpot, winning an impressive R20 995 899.42 in the Lotto Plus 1 draw on Wednesday, 3 May 2023.

As with all jackpot winners who played through banking apps, the winner will be contacted by the bank and advised to visit their nearest ITHUBA office to claim their prize.

Lotto jackpot nabbed

ITHUBA CEO Charmaine Mabuza expressed her excitement at the announcement of May’s first Lotto Plus 1 multi-millionaire.

She advised the winner to bring proof of identity and banking details when claiming their prize at the SA lottery offices, depending on their location.

R50m guaranteed jackpot awaits

As excitement builds, the Lotto jackpot is set to reach a staggering R50 million guaranteed jackpot on its 16th rollover this coming Saturday, 6 May 2023.

Players can purchase tickets at participating retailers, online at nationallottery.co.za, or via the National Lottery Mobile App.

Alternatively, tickets are also available through participating banks such as FNB, ABSA, Nedbank, Standard Bank, Capitec, TymeBank, and African Bank.

Counseling and financial advice

Winners of prizes valued at R50 000 and above are offered trauma counseling by a psychologist and financial advice from a financial advisor, courtesy of ITHUBA.

The lucky Lotto Plus 1 winner will also have access to these services as they navigate their newfound wealth.

Remember, all National Lottery winnings are tax-free, and players must be 18 years or older to participate. Always play responsibly.
