Alimosho To Hosts Maiden Ogunbowale U-15 Inter LG Football Tourney

Forum of Great-minds Initiative Grassroots Sport Development has concluded plans to organise High Chief Aremu Babalola Ogunbowale U-15 Unity Inter Local Government Football Competition from June 1-15, 2022 at the Lions Field Alimosho Lagos State.

The tournament designed for states in the South/West geo-political zone of Nigeria, is aimed at positively engaging and scouting for talents among youths within South/West.

The maiden grassroots football tournament according to Salau Jimoh Oriyomi, the Chairman of the organising the committee will be sponsored by the traditional head of Alimosho community, High Chief Jamiu Aremu Babalola Ogunbowale, the Baale Alimosho Kingdom.

The tournament is expected to attract participants from local governments in the Yoruba speaking states according to Samuel Olusegun Dan, the Organising Committee Secretary.

“Forum of Great-minds Initiative Grassroots Sport Development establishes this soccer competition to appreciate the good gesture of our community leader towards youths, High Chief Aremu Babalola Ogunbowale, with plans to make it an annual event.

“Baale Alimosho has greatly being of great help to the youths in Alimosho and he has also desired to extend such gestures beyond Alimosho by agreeing to sponsor a grassroots football competition among youths within the Yoruba Speaking States where winners will receive cash incentives, medals and certificates”, said Oriyomi, chairman of planning committee.
