It has been revealed that former England captain David Beckham was able to secure a £10 million (just under R250 million) mortgage for a Miami penthouse.
It has been reported by The Sun that the former player, now 48-years-old, will be required to make repayments totaling more than £40,000 per month after adding taxes to the mortgage instalment amount.
While establishing Inter Miami football team, Beckham purchased the $17.15 million apartment on the 59th level of One Thousand Museum through his company Beckham Brand Ltd. It contains five bedrooms, floor-to-ceiling windows, the first private helipad in Miami, and terraces with views of the Atlantic Ocean.
The tower’s double-level gym and Jacuzzi, infinity pool, and hair and beauty complex are also accessible to him wife Victoria, 49.
The house, which cost $22.6 million when it was purchased three years ago, is only one piece of the couple’s £70 million-plus portfolio of properties. A £6 million Cotswolds home and a £31 million London townhouse are also included among those properties.
According to paperwork, the Miami mortgage is one of the ten largest loans made to celebs, which are in order of the amount loaned
