A clergy and football enthusiast, Prophet Samuel Samiye Olabode has demonstrated his love for the growth of grassroots football as he donated fund to support scouting and coaching education programmes in Ibadan Oyo State.
General Overseer of the Angel of Christ Gospel Church, Isale Oremeji Agugu, Ibadan revealed this while hosting Coach Paulo Jorge Meneses the Head Coach Cehegin Deportivo SC Spain, who was in Ibadan for a soccer scouting and coaches education programmes at his resident.
the Man of God while addressing the foreign EUFA ‘A’ licensed coach during a dinner held at his resident urged him to use his wealth of experience in imparting the grassroots coaches that came under his tutelage during seminar for an improved performance.
A tour broker and CEO of Midtown Soccer School, Ibadan, Mr. Kayode Joshua Mobolaji who accompanied the Foreigner to the event also said Coach Meneses will also pick some talented footballers during the scouting program and monitor their progression into higher level in football.
Prophet Samuel Samiye however, made cash donation to the management of Bestowed Grace Football Academy to pledge his support for the ongoing project and to further express his interest in football talent development.
Among the personalities present at the event was Major G.A Banire (Operation Burst Commandant, Oyo State) and his entourage and wife of the clergyman, Lady Evangelist Toluwani Olabode.
