
The leadership of the Super Eagles Supporters Club (SESC) has Commiserated with the Babangida family following the tragic accident that involved the two former Nigeria football Internationals Ibrahim Babangida and Tijani Babangida.
The fatal accident that occurred along the Zaria/Kaduna Expressway took the life of Ibrahim Babangida who has since been buried according to Islamic rites.
A statement issued by the club and signed by
founder and President of Super Eagles Supporters Club (SESC) Prince Vincent Okumagba urged the Nigerian football family to pray for the Babangida family because of the nature of the accident that involved the two brothers and other family members.
“Let’s say a prayer for the Babangidas especially Tijani Babangida, the President of Nigeria Players Union, ex-international and Atlanta Olympics Gold medalist at this crucial time.”
“The Babangida family have played important role in the Nigerian football circle producing great football brothers like Tijani, Haruna and the late Ibrahim Babangida who had represented Nigeria at major tournaments like the World cup and Africa Cup of Nations,” the statement signed by SESC boss who also doubles as Vice President of African Supporters Association.
