DJ Melzi reacts to rumors of being a son to the corrupt commissioner Nomsa Masuku
DJ Melzi rubbishes claims of being related to the Electoral Commission of South Africa (IEC) commissioner Nomsa Masuku.
It was rumored that the Amapiano DJ, real name Tumelo Mphai is related to Nomsa, who was accused of fraud.
Melzi’s luxurious ride which he recently shared on social media sparked the false rumor.
“Recent rumours and speculation about my relationship with Masuku are unfounded and untrue. I would like to clarify I have no affiliation or relationship with Masuku and we are not involved in any way. My parents are private and I appeal to all not to involve them on social media platforms,” DJ Melzi posted.
“I don’t know the woman. I only got to see her picture on X. I’ve never met or spoken to her. My parents are private people and such things hurt them,” the DJ told TshishaLIVE.
Nomza Masuku was arrested and appeared in the Johannesburg specialised commercial crimes court on charges of theft, fraud and money laundering involving R1.2m.
