Oba Oginni In FATOIL Badminton Championship Doubles Final

The former proprietor of Flogin FC, Ibadan, HRH Olatunde Oginni has qualified for the final of FATOIL Badminton Double Championship billed for Ibadan Tennis Club, (ITC) to celebrate the birthday of Otunba Olusola Omole.

Oba Oginni alongside Toba Fadulu will face Bamidele Ogunrinola and Oluseyi Kayode-Adedeji in the double badminton competition final on Monday June 13 at the indoor badminton court of ITC Iyaganku, Ibadan.

Otunba Omole, the Sponsor who was also the former Captain of the Badminton section of Ibadan Tennis Club said he chooses to celebrate his birthday with friends and badminton enthusiasts, hence scheduled the final of the competition to coincides with his birthday date.

He however assured participants and well-wishers of a fun-filled event with lots of freebies.

Speaking ahead of the final, Oba Oginni, who owns a sport resort at UCH De’ Executive Suite Ibadan, said he plays badminton as a means of keeping fit and not really for winning competition, but never knew his fitness in the game has now grown to level of winning laurel.

“I love playing badminton to keep fit because it’s a very good sport for body fitness, but I do not primarily play it for the sake of winning competition. I also have competitions that I used to sponsor here and I will continue to support badminton”, said the business mogul.
