Sizwe Alakine’s album to drop this Friday

South African rapper Reason opened up about his alter-ego Sizwe Alakine ahead of his album release.

The musician announced Dear Darkie aka Audio 2D album which will drop this Friday.

Taking to Instagram, he talked about the purpose of his alter ego, who is famously known to be an Amapiano artist, while Reason is for hip-hop.

“Sizwe Alakine was invented to bring hip hop and amapiano together to create a uniquely South African rap style and sound. Never the other way around,” he wrote.

He also expressed gratitude to Nkosazana Daughter for doing the cover of his song years ago.

My new release, “Baba Ngikhumbule” proves this. Shout out to @nkosazana_daughter for the sample. You words allowed me to see God in my life. Thank you.”
