Well-known Mzansi actress Sindi Majola’s video roaming the streets of Yeoville, Johannesburg, has gone viral on social media.
Sindi’s past life of luxury has taken a drastic turn. The actress, who is famous for her roles on Rhythm City, Yizo Yizo, and Zone 14, shared how she lost it all. She is also the ex-lover of late Brenda Fassie.
“I had everything — from age 22, I had my car, my apartment, my businesses, everything — but I wasn’t happy. They killed my family because of money. I was earning R52,000 in two weeks. And I said, ‘God, please take it all’. I want to be like everybody. I don’t need help,” she said.
The video has sparked concern and conversation about the struggles faced by Sindi and many others in the South African entertainment industry.
Social media users have expressed sympathy for Sindi, with some criticising the industry for failing to support artists when their time in the spotlight has passed.
