Former Generations actor Roderick Jaftha is struggling to survive and needs help from South Africans.
The actor said he is unable to pay R2500 rent for where he stays with his wife and children; he is also unable to provide food for them.
“I don’t even have food for my kids today, so I’m trying to run around.”
Jaftha said their finances took a nosedive after his wife lost her job.
“I am struggling to pay rent. I have small kids, and two of them are still at school.” He said even though he is looking for gigs, it has been a mountain to climb because most productions that have been shot are in vernac.’ He added: “Since I only speak Afrikaans and English, it is hard for me to get those roles. I have been getting gigs, but nothing significant,” he said.
