Around 400 students were reportedly unable to write their matric final exams on Tuesday amid devastating floods in the Eastern Cape.
SABC News said the decision was taken by Education Minister Siviwe Gwarube.
Several roads in Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality, including Gqeberha and Kariega, were closed or affected by flooding caused by the rain.
Businesses have closed, as have driver’s licence and testing centres.
Party of the municipality is reportedly without electricity and safe drinking water as facilities flooded.
Residents have also been warned not to swim in the streets.
This is a developing story
