Ami Faku Receives Three SAMA Nominations

The sought-after singer/songwriter and multi award winning artist bagged three nominations for this year’s SAMA 28 Awards. This comes as no surprise as she’s been nominated in numerous categories since her career took off. Two of these nominations are for the Record of the year Award, where she’s a featured artist on Abelele and Asibe Happy, both tracks being part of projects by Amapiano giants Kabza De Small and Dj Maphorisa. These records have been dominating the amapiano airwaves since its release and getting nominated for this category is testament to the fact.

She also received a nomination for Video of the year, for her participation on the hit record Phakade Lami where she teamed up with Afro-Soul queens Nomfundoh Moh and Sha Sha.

Ami Faku recently performed Abelele, Asibe Happy and Into Ingawe at The Hunters x Jacquel House show, a new empowerment platform for artists created by TRESOR.

I would like to say Congratulations to her as she very much deserves it. She worked hard for these nominations and does deserve many more. Cannot wait to see what goes down at this year’s SAMAs.
