Georgia Oboh of Nigeria has returned to her Manchester base in the UK after three days of intense competition at the Aramco Team Series tournament which held in Sotogrande, Spain from August 5-7.
Geoffrey Oboh, Georgia (Oboh) caddy/father disclosed to SOKOnnect after the event ended on Saturday at the La Reserva Golf Club, Sotogrande, adding that she would need to prepare ahead of the coming tournaments.
“We will be flying to Manchester tomorrow (today Sunday) for a two weeks break to resume for the next five tournaments,” as he commended everyone for the support and encouragement.
Oboh, a young, resilient professional who for the first time is having a busy season since 2019 however, played 75, 78, 73 over three days to finish 73 among a field of 108, just as Team Young finished 22 on -25, with a score of 407 in the 36-team Tournament.
No thanks to the windy weather condition that affected games negatively, particularly on Day-2 and Day-3.
Meanwhile, Alison Lee of the United States won the tournament with a -15 and a score of 201; Ashleigh Buhai of the Republic of South Africa (RSA) was second on -10, scored 206; Karolin Lampert of Germany was third, -7, scored 209.
Team Buhai tied Team Stron on -35 with a score of 397 to win the overall Team event, while Team Hull was third with -34 and a score of 398 among others.
