The $1 million Aramco Team Series event which teed off on Thursday August 5 comes to an end today Saturday August 7 in a grand style at the La Reserva Golf Club, Sotogrande, Spain.

Nigeria’s Georgia Oboh of Team Young which had a good start in Day 1, finishing second on -12, have to conclude their final round in the morning set.

The morning set is expected to put the team at a vantage position according to pundits, if the windy condition which affected their Friday game in the afternoon set is anything to go by.

But thanks to the Nigerian lady sensation, Oboh, who contributed three birdies to improve the teams advantage heading to today’s final showdown.

Oboh’s caddy/father, Geoffrey Oboh, who spoke with SOKOnnect after the game decried the ugly experience for the afternoon teams on Friday.

“Today (Friday) the team didn’t have a good day, the course was very windy in the afternoon and all the teams that played in the afternoon didn’t have a good day; Georgia contributed three birdies, which was the highest in the team, with the other professionals contributing two and one respectively.

“The amateur player also did well, she contributed one birdie; the ugly windy condition really affected their score; hopefully the team will play in the morning tomorrow (today) when the wind is down and the heat is less,” Geoffrey Oboh said.

Team Young include Liz Young a veteran Ladies European Tour (LET) player as captain; Maria Hernandez also veteran player; Georgia Oboh and Sergio Villar Ramos an amateur Handicap 9 player, but playing off 7 for the tournament.
