Emerging vocalist, Azi takes a deep dive into matters of the heart this month of love as he delivers a new single, ‘Kwa Nhliziyo Ngise’ featuring Sihlem.rsa.
He descibes the title, ‘Kwa Nhliziyo Ngise’ as a Zulu term which in the song, basically means ‘where the paradise of love resides’.
In the single, Azi confesses his undying love for his significant other, expressing that he’d rather die where the paradise of love resides. Sihlem.rsa’s echoing vocals are the cherry on top for the ‘piano love song.
Azi explained the inspiration behind his latest single by stating the following:
“In today’s world, love seems to be more of a rare find with constant societal ideas shaping how we should interact with love, either for something or someone. I’m aiming to re-educate people about the basic act of love and what it should mean.”
Furthermore, Azi gets in depth about what the song means to him:
“It sheds light on the passion I hold for love and loving someone that its scale surpasses any ambition I may have. True love is hard to come by these days and for us as a society, we subconsciously forget the meaning of the word and this song aims to remind everyone that it is not a bad thing to love, and it should be expressed more. It is the month of love and healing of the heart and I hope my debut single is the perfect remedy for people to be able to do exactly that”, he shares.
