They come in various shapes & sizes and offer a myriad of options to choose from!

Soft, crunchy, chewy, and mouth-watering, these cookies can have any kind of texture and have the perfect amount of sweetness in them.
Even the aroma of their baking itself is very satisfying. Even though we love to eat these cookies, do you know there are about 6-7 types of basic cookies that are baked around the world?
If you are a fan of baking cookies, here are some of the basic varieties that you must know about. 

4. Rolled/Cutout Cookies

Rolled Cookie dough usually is stiffer and needs to be chilled first before you use it. After the dough is chilled, roll it out and cut it into shapes with a cookie cutter or with a knife. This kind of cookie is really fun to eat because of the unlimited variety of shapes. The Rolled Cookie example is Gingerbread.

6. Sandwich Cookies

It can be rolled or pressed cookie for the dough and assembled as a sandwich for the final product. For the filling usually a sweet one, such as frosting, ganache, jam, marshmallow creme, and peanut buttercream. It can be a soft cookie with a filling or even a crisp cookie with a filling too! French Macaroons are the perfect example of this cookie type.
