Sesethu Myeki, popularly known as ‘Big Xhosa’ put out his first body of work titled ‘Almost Time’. The highly anticipated album houses 10 tracks featuring contributions from the likes of Majorsteez, Samthing Soweto, Gigi Lamayne and more.

The artist announced the release date for “Almost Time” as he took to Twitter that he promises to deliver “real music” to make a name for himself in SA Hip-Hop after being side-lined by the industry while building himself a platform through his false, clowning persona. “I’ve been overthinking this for a long time trying to find meaning and purpose for this project, I’ve found it’”, expresses the entertainer on his official Instagram page.

Big Xhosa’s peculiar, yet unique cover art for the album is a depiction of his artistic side as he explains that his creative mind won’t allow him do things the conventional way. He states his gratitude for the patience and love his supporters have shown him as he drops the long-awaited album, “Almost Time”.

I think Big Xhosa’s unique approach to the game is what the industry needs. He definitely lived up to what he told supporters with regards to delivering good, respectable and serious music. The construction of the project entirely is phenomenal, the outlandish art cover is eye-catching because it’s interesting and the features on the official track-list pulled through and played their part in their designated songs. I believe that his authenticity is admirable, and despite being previously outcasted, his belief in his craft led him to giving us a stellar album!
