Bingwa won the Allied Steelrode-OnAMission Charity Mile for the second year in succession at Turffontein on Saturday.
The five-year-old gelding started at odds of 10-1 and was confidently ridden by former champion jockey Gavin Lerena.
The charity associated with Bingwa, Epworth Childrens Home, won a cheque of R100,000.
Bingwa changed stables after his triumph last year and was saddled this time around by Johan Janse van Vuuren – who also trained the second horse home, Puerto Manzano (16-1).
In third place was 3-1 favourite Safe Passage, trained by Mike de Kock.
Bingwa was bred and is owned by Colin and Belinda Stonebridge, who are based in Tanzania.
