Jeffery Ugiagbe, a 13-year-old boy from Benin City Edo State has died of complications from anal sex inflicted on him by a middle aged man Ovie Otobo who engages in raping underage boys.

Mr Vincent Ugiagbe, the deceased father who broke the news on Friday, demanded justice for his son.

He lamented that his son’s promising future has been cut short by the “irresponsible act of a pervert.”

While noting that all efforts made to save his son’s life failed, he affirmed only “sentencing to death” of the perpetrator and not life imprisonment, could assuage what the his family is going through.

According to him, “My son had a bright future; he was very intelligent, now all have been cut short because of the act of this irresponsible person.

“I made frantic effort to save the life of my son. I borrowed hugely from friends and commercial banks for the medical bills and he still passed on.

“I am calling on the government for justice for my son, I don’t want him to die in vain. I want him (perpetrator) sentence to death and not life imprisonment.

It would be recalled that the culprit, Otobo, had been paraded by the Edo Police Command where he confessed to raping underage boys including Jeffery in Benin City, Edo State capital.
