The pimped out XL800 pumps out all of 588kW of power and 1 000Nm of torque.
In a world where money can buy you almost anything, Brabus has unveiled their XL800 that is based off the iconic G-Wagon in Mercedes-AMG’s G63 guise.
The engineers and designers of Brabus have developed a spectacular off-roader which not shows off at exclusive coffee shop meets, but thanks to custom-designed Brabus chassis with portal axles, it can also go anywhere off-road you could ever wish to go.
The Brabus XL800 twin-turbo eight-cylinder engine produces 588kW of power at 6 600rpm and 1 000Nm from as low as 3 600rpm and this translates into high performance in its purest form. To achieve this performance, Brabus developed two turbochargers for this G-Wagon with special core assemblies, reinforced axial bearings and larger compressor units.

Brabus G-Wagon super fast
Brabus conducted extensive testing on state-of-the-art test benches, public roads and in terrain to program new maps for injection and ignition and to increase the boost pressure to 1.6 bar.
In perfect interplay with the automatic transmission, which nine gears can also be shifted manually using the ergonomic Brabus carbon paddle shifters on the steering wheel, the G-Wagon’s engine pushes the Brabus XL800 from 0 to 100km/h in just 4.6 seconds. The off-road tyres limit this super SUV’s top speed to 210km/h.
Exposed-structure carbon surround frames the two chromed tailpipes of the Brabus stainless sports exhaust on each side of the vehicle. It integrates red “Launch Ambience” lights synced with the interior lighting.

Exhaust notes to savour
The key strong point of this exhaust system is active sound management. Depending on the selected drive mode, the V8 either whispers in the subtle “Coming Home” mode or produces an extremely powerful exhaust note in the “Sport” position.
Visually the Brabus XL800 impresses with its thrilling design with high-gloss Widestar exposed-structure carbon bodywork components and 22-inch heavy-duty forged wheels carrying dedicated off-road tyres. The interior features exclusive slate gray Brabus Masterpiece interior appointments crafted from precision-quilted leather and exposed-structure carbon.
The Brabus XL 800 G-Wagon sells for around R12 750 000 in Europe which doesn’t include export costs and Germany VAT charges.
