Cardi B says she would have ended up in jail if she continued her marriage with Offset

The Bronx-born rapper recently confirmed her new relationship with NFL star Stefon Diggs, and just a day later, she took to social media to reflect on the emotional chaos that defined the final chapter of her marriage to Offset.
Speaking candidly during a live session on X Spaces, Cardi didn’t hold back as she described the psychological weight she carried during their on-and-off relationship.
“I don’t think people understand how tired I was. How tired, how mentally drained I was,” she said.
“Drained, drained, drained. Couldn’t eat. I was getting frequent headaches. I was literally losing my mind.”
Known for her unfiltered honesty, the “Bodak Yellow” hitmaker repeated how deeply affected she was, making it clear that her decision to walk away wasn’t sudden.
“I gave it chances after chances after chances after chances after chances after chances,” she emphasized, echoing the pattern that had worn her down.
In one of the most shocking revelations, Cardi admitted that staying in the relationship could have ended in tragedy.
“I was going to end up going to jail, ‘cause I was going to end up killing them. Seriously, with my own bare hands. ‘Cause it was just getting so … it was just getting too much,” she confessed.
While Offset’s infidelity has long been a point of public speculation, Cardi said it wasn’t just the cheating that led to the split.
According to her, it was the emotional manipulation that broke her spirit. She accused her ex of gaslighting, lying, and playing mind games, tactics that left her mentally fragile.
