So, I finally made time to listen to Cheryl Zondi’s latest body of work ‘Love Imposes’ as I never had the time to actually give it a listen. To be quite frank, I was not even aware that the project dropped as the last time there was a delay with the release. I am in awe in how the production for this EP came out as everything is well layered. It is more of an adventure above everything.
The first single already pulled me to get excited for the project to drop as I remember when I did a short write up about it a month or two ago and I was so hyped as how she sang her lungs out in the intro was so fascinating. She took a different approach with the rest of the single as she addresses all elements that allow us to form a relationship with our fellow potentials from ‘Communication’ to ‘Body Language’ to ‘Emotional Bondage’ as well as ‘Trust’. I love how ‘Plans4U’ aligns with the storyline as the project serves as an ode to finding Love at its most ‘Raw form’. I am talking about true love and this speaks to all those that are already in relationships or feeling infatuated for a potential partner.
The EP is a masterpiece for me as it showcases her vocals on various beats from ones that form a bit of Hip-Hop to her full RnB facet. It has no skips from me as I got to embark on a much needed therapeutic ‘Love journey’ as I was somehow lost within my emotions and just being able to go on this musical journey is the most amazing thing to date. You should definitely add this EP in your Library as it is a magnificent piece of art and won’t go wrong with it.
