A life worth fighting for, is what Cmsweets and Yamilo Beatz have portrayed in their new release “Trapped in Trap”, a project which focuses on the life and upbringing of Cmsweets. The project tells the story of how he went from being chased out at home to becoming a certified hustler in the streets. Cmsweets had to make ends meet and the best way he could do that before the music was to do or sell anything that could make him some money.
However, he found himself through the music, along with Yamilo Beatz, whom he attends sound engineering school with, and together they have bettered the quality of their music through the learnings of their respective school. The artist experienced a huge amount of “Character building” throughout the Lockdown, which came with a lot of struggle and fighting that led him to working as hard as he does today.
When asked why Cmsweets chooses to make music with Yamilo Beatz he stated that he feels understood as an artist and a person, along with their shared vision. They’ve travelled the musical journey together, and wouldn’t want to do it with anyone else. The feeling of how the music is made, is based on good beat selection, establishing the creative direction and executing it according to the mood and tone that is sets.
