Connie Chiume’s family expects hundreds of mourners at her memorial service

The memorial service of late veteran actress Connie Chiume is expected to take place on Tuesday.

Friends, family, and colleagues will gather at the Oasis Family Church in Daveyton to pay tribute to the industry legend.

Chiume died at a Johannesburg hospital after a short illness last week.

As tributes continue pouring in for Chiume, Johannesburg fans have the opportunity to pay their respects at her memorial service.

The family anticipates hundreds of mourners at the Oasis of Life Family Church.

During her illustrious career, Mam Connie, as she was affectionately known, appeared in shows including Zone 14, Soul City, and Gomora.

This is in addition to her award-winning appearances in Marvel Studio’s Black Panther and Beyoncé’s Black Is King.

Chiume, who has been hailed as a powerful force in the industry, will be laid to rest on Thursday.
